OP-13: Carrying On His Will

OP-13 marked the One Piece Card Game's third anniversary and built its theme around the story's three central brothers — Monkey D. Luffy, Portgas D. Ace and Sabo — alongside the series' mystery figure Im and the once and future Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. The set added six new Leaders, four multicoloured and two mono-coloured, with Luffy, Ace and Sabo positioned as the emotional centrepiece of an anniversary set built around the story's most-referenced sibling bond. It also closed out the Egghead arc that had run through the anime for the preceding two years, giving the set a narrative bookend alongside its mechanical one.

The Egghead Starter Deck (ST-29)

Released alongside the wider Egghead-arc materials in January 2026, Starter Deck ST-29 is a fixed 51-card deck plus 10 DON!! cards and a 3-card bonus pack, built around a new Luffy Leader card and the Straw Hat crew in their Egghead-arc outfits. It is a yellow deck built around Strong Trigger cards and life-manipulation effects — Bandai designs its starter decks to be tournament-legal and playable straight out of the box, which makes ST-29 a genuine on-ramp into the game rather than a simplified "starter" in the way some TCGs treat the category.

Two ways in, one standard

A starter deck and a booster box solve different problems: the deck is the cheapest way to own a legal, complete One Piece Card Game deck, while OP-13 boosters let a player build toward a specific archetype or chase a rate card. Value differs by an order of magnitude between the two, but the same rule applies to both — a "new" starter deck that has been opened and reassembled is worth measurably less than one that has not, and the only way to prove it has not happened is to never let it happen.
