Palworld TCG: Dawn of Palpagos booster box, the game's launch set
From 'Pokémon with guns' to a physical card game
Palworld, Pocketpair's survival-and-creature-collection game nicknamed 'Pokémon with guns' almost from the day it launched into Steam Early Access on 18 January 2024, became one of the fastest breakout hits in recent gaming history — more than 25 million players inside its first month. That resemblance also drew a real legal fight: Nintendo and The Pokémon Company filed a patent infringement suit against Pocketpair, which is still part of the game's public story as Pocketpair works toward a planned full 1.0 launch in 2026.
The card game arrives independently of that lawsuit, published not by Pocketpair itself but by Bushiroad — the Japanese company behind established TCGs like Weiss Schwarz and Cardfight!! Vanguard — under official license. Palworld TCG launched worldwide on 30 July 2026 with simultaneous English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese editions, an unusually synchronised global rollout for a new physical card game.
What's in Dawn of Palpagos
Booster Pack 01, Dawn of Palpagos, is the launch set: 100 cards, all built on artwork commissioned specifically for the card game rather than screenshots or promotional art pulled from the video game — every Pal, gear, event and structure card was illustrated new for this product. A second set, Legends Awaken (BP02), is already confirmed for 30 October 2026, which tells you Bushiroad is treating this as an ongoing line rather than a one-off tie-in.
Why a launch set is the riskiest to buy carelessly
A first set for a brand-new game has no print history to check demand against — there's no prior set's allocation to compare it to, which makes distributor sourcing matter more at launch than it will once the line has a few sets behind it. It's also, predictably, the point where speculative resale runs hottest relative to real supply.
Buying it from Spaceship TCG
We carry Dawn of Palpagos booster boxes sourced from authorised distribution, checked against the invoice and photographed on intake before listing. If you want to try Palworld TCG at launch, sealed and verified is the only way we think it's worth doing.
