What Disney Lorcana is

Disney Lorcana is Ravensburger's trading card game, made in collaboration with the Walt Disney Company and first released in August 2023 — Ravensburger's first entry into the TCG category, after decades as a board game and puzzle publisher. In the game's fiction, players are Illumineers who use magic ink to summon Glimmers, each one a Disney or Disney Afternoon character rendered as a living card. A standard game runs two or more players, uses a minimum 60-card deck, and takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes — closer to Magic in structure than to a licensed card game built for younger players, which is part of why it crossed over to adult collectors as fast as it did.

Winterspell: set 11's story so far

Winterspell is Disney Lorcana's eleventh set, releasing 20 February 2026 with a prerelease weekend starting 13 February. Where the previous set, Whispers in the Well, left the story mid-intrigue, Winterspell picks it up with an Elsa Glimmer attempting to freeze a mysterious vine that has crept in from the Inklands — and getting it badly wrong, burying the realm in an unplanned, realm-wide winter. The set's tagline, "Flurries of Fun", undersells how far Ravensburger leaned into the theme: alongside winter reimaginings of Stitch, Angel, Darkwing Duck and Launchpad, the set introduces Glimmers pulled from Mickey's Christmas Carol — Scrooge McDuck and all three Spirits — giving the set a genuinely festive, standalone identity within the wider Lorcana story.

Booster box vs. full case

Winterspell ships in a 24-pack booster box and a full case of four boxes (96 packs). The step from box to case is mostly a per-pack price argument: distributors price a case below four individual boxes bought separately, which is why buyers building out a full set or supplying a store tend to skip the box tier entirely. A sealed case is also the one unit in Lorcana's supply chain that has never passed through a second set of hands after leaving Ravensburger's line, which matters to anyone who cares about pull-rate integrity and not just card count.
