Secrets of Strixhaven is Magic's 111th expansion, released 24 April 2026 — a direct follow-up to 2021's Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos, returning to the five-college magic university at the centre of that plane. The set runs to 368 cards across its main line and leans into the academic setting with ten Special Guests cards, each depicting a lecture held somewhere on campus, and a full-art land for each of the five colleges: Silverquill on the Plains, Prismari on the Island, Witherbloom on the Swamp, Lorehold on the Mountain, and Quandrix on the Forest. Every booster carries a Mystical Archive spell — the format Wizards has used since Strixhaven's original run to reprint a classic spell in premium alternate art. Secrets of Strixhaven, its Commander decks, Mystical Archive and Special Guests cards are tournament-legal across Constructed, Commander, Legacy and Vintage respectively.

Four sealed formats, four different jobs

Secrets of Strixhaven ships across more distinct sealed formats than most Magic sets: a 30-pack Play Booster display built for drafting, a 12-pack Collector Booster display for extended-art and showcase pulls, a five-deck Commander display for multiplayer straight out of the box, and an eight-deck Theme Deck display as a lower-cost preconstructed option, plus a Codex Bundle pairing a fixed card pool with accessories. Distributors allocate each format separately — a strong Play Booster allocation says nothing about Collector Booster or Commander stock — which is why we publish exactly what we have rather than a blanket "in stock" badge across formats that may not actually be available together.
